Questions & Answers

What do I need to do before attending orientation?

Before students can attend orientation, we need to have English placement information on file. To fulfil that requirement, you can submit one of three things:

• SAT scores from 2016 or newer
• College Transcripts with at least 12 earned credits and above a 2.0 gpa
• Take the English placement test through Canvas

You only need to submit one of these three. Once you have completed that, you can register for orientation

Is parking available?

Yes, you can park in Ramp A and enter from the Ransom Street entrance. We'll provide a parking pass for you when you arrive. Additional details will be sent in the confirmation email you'll receive.

Can I bring a guest to orientation?

Guests are welcome at orientation, but, depending on attendance, they may be asked to stay in a waiting area during the session.

What should I bring to orientation?

Please bring a valid photo ID (driver's license, state ID, school ID, etc.) so we can check you in.

Do I need to have my RaiderCard to attend orientation?

No, students will receive their RaiderCard at orientation as long as you bring a valid photo ID (driver's license, state ID, school ID, etc.). For the best experience, please upload your photo ahead of time via your student portal. Please watch this video on how to submit your picture.

When should I register for classes?

You will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes at orientation, so you do not need to register for classes ahead of time.
