Welcome to GRCC!
Join us for your in-person orientation where you'll:
- Meet with an academic advisor to determine your first semester classes.
- Register for classes.
- Learn about your success team here at GRCC!
- Learn about essential next steps before the start of the semester.
Questions & Answers
Before students can attend orientation, we need to have English placement information on file. To fulfil that requirement, you can submit one of three things:
- SAT scores from 2016 or newer
- College Transcripts with at least 12 earned credits and above a 2.0 gpa
- Take the English placement test through Canvas
You only need to submit one of these three. Once you have completed that, you can register for orientation

Yes, there is a large parking lot at the Lakeshore campus. Parking is free at the Lakeshore campus, so you don't need to worry about pulling a ticket or getting parking validated.
Guests are welcome at orientation, but, depending on attendance, they may be asked to stay in a waiting area during the session.
Please bring a valid photo ID (driver's license, state ID, school ID, etc.) so we can check you in.
No, students will receive their RaiderCard at orientation as long as you bring a valid photo ID (driver's license, state ID, school ID, etc.). For the best experience, please upload your photo ahead of time via your student portal. Please watch this video on how to submit your picture.
You will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes at orientation, so you do not need to register for classes ahead of time.
